My 10 yr old son has had to deal with a bully at school.The school staff helped me put an end to it, and talked to my son and the bully about it. I made sure the staff person called my back to let me know how and when this was going to be taken care of after my son reported the bulling to me. It looks like we took care of the problem without further violence. I get the impression that schools are taking bulling a lot more serious than when we were kids. -

That is exactly what helped me (better yet, convinced me) to leave the organization!; I told myself the exact same words you just expressed, but I saw how cruel and hypocritical they all were. You are going through a very tramatic time in your life, but I guarantee you....they will NEVER understand. You are only human and your healthy desires for love and acceptance will contribute to your life's quest. The TRUTH will reveal itself in time. I'm so sorry, my friend, but you will not find the love and understanding that you really need with your "brothers". I wish you well.

I'm sorry you're going through so much pain. I have been through it too, and I promise, it does get better! Take it one day at a time and take care of yourself...don't be too harsh. This is a whole new beginning for you, a time to grow and learn from your past experience. Things will work out for the best.
I agree with Nilfun...the "no grounds"rule is pretty harsh.

After I read this note, I just melted. I never threw his letter away. There is more...but I don't care to disclose that here.

It did not sound odd when I was a Witness!
by kenpodragon insome times i will go out to lunch with some friends, or maybe they will have me over to dinner.
in doing so they will some times ask me a question about the witnesses.
normally it is because one of them works with one, or knows one in the family and they did not want to offend that person with a question that might sound rude or even silly.

That is exactly what happened to me today. I was talking with some ladies in the office and the subject came up that I was once a Jw. They asked me some questions about their beliefs, just like the guys asked you.
Afterwards, I thought to myself, "I can't believe I used to think that way!" Doesn't feel good to know better now?
